A Hokkaido Love Story
Silvy & Daryl’s Hokkaido pre-wedding shoot moved between three very different sides of a snowy escape. In the Birch Forest, they shared the landscape with a horse and played in the snow beneath bare winter trees. Rusutsu Resort shifted the mood indoors, with an ornate carousel and the warmth of a wooden lodge, before Hirafu Village brought the day into the evening. Wrapped in winter layers, they wandered through snow-covered streets under the glow of village lights.

Birch Forest
The Birch Forest brought Silvy & Daryl straight into Hokkaido’s snow-covered landscape. A horse joined them among the pale trunks and open white ground, giving this first stop a sense of movement without taking away from the quiet surroundings. Silvy’s full white gown almost disappeared into the snow at times, while Daryl’s beige suit added a softer contrast. They stayed close beside the horse, walked hand in hand between the trees, and eventually traded the composed mood for something more playful—tossing snow at each other and laughing through it. The setting was simple, but that simplicity gave every gesture more room to stand out.
Somewhere between the quiet snow and the first handful thrown, the day loosened into fun.
Rusutsu Resort
Rusutsu Resort changed the atmosphere completely. Silvy & Daryl stepped away from the bright snow and into a world of warm wood, glowing lights, and an ornate carousel filled with gold detailing. They moved around the carousel before retreating into the quieter corners of the lodge, where a fireplace, timber walls, staircases, and window light made everything feel more intimate. The contrast between the elaborate carousel and the cozy interiors gave this part of the shoot its own rhythm—grand in one moment, understated in the next. Outside, the snow was still waiting, tying the warmth indoors back to the winter landscape beyond the doors.
Hirafu Village
By Hirafu Village, the formal wedding looks were gone. Silvy & Daryl bundled up in winter coats and scarves and stepped into the evening streets, where snowbanks, shopfronts, and pools of warm light shaped the scene around them. The mood was noticeably more casual here. They stood close beneath the streetlights, wandered past busy storefronts, and paused among the people moving through the village. Even the cold became part of the atmosphere, visible in the night air around them. After the horse, the carousel, and the quiet lodge interiors, ending among the lights and everyday bustle of Hirafu made the final chapter feel less like a portrait session and more like a night out together.
The snow stayed the same, but every stop gave them a completely different way to spend the day together.
